Basic Vehicle Extrication Drill 

May 15, 2007  members from the Union Fire Company attended an basic vehicle extrication drill at the Hopewell Twp DPW.  Training Coordinator Lynch graciously donated his old pickup truck "Big Red" for training purposes.  Big red posed a unique  stabilization challenge for the students.  Our standard cribbing on the Engine wasn't enough to safely stabilize the vehicle.  Newly purchased stabilizing struts were used.  A few different techniques were used to gain access to the patient compartment.
